Robin Ashby MA(rca) established ra design from his Derbyshire base after working in many aspects of jewellery design, new product development and manufacture for several companies including large brand names such as Wedgwood. He has also taught in colleges and universities up to a BA level.

As well as design and cad skills he has a wide range of hands on making and process experience. During time spent as a university jewellery technician he honed his skills with casting, mould making/cutting, enamelling, hand engraving, stone setting, machining, polishing, soldering and general bench skills. Process lead technology is a great fascination and interest for him in the now fast moving and developing jewellery industry.
